Job Summary

Consult with finance, operations, brokers, and insurers to analyze and select risk retention or transfer options while managing workers' compensation, general liability, and property insurance programs. Prepare exposure submissions, negotiate coverage terms and pricing, and review policies, invoices, and contracts to mitigate contractual risks. Lead claims activities by supervising internal staff, conducting audits, and overseeing loss control visits. Forecast retrospective rating refunds, manage business licenses, and develop risk management standards with the contracts and operations teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business
  • Eight plus years in the construction or utility business
  • Eight plus years as a Corporate Risk Manager or, Director or VP with a large multinational construction, mining or utilities company (500+ mm annual sales/receipts)
  • Negotiations experience and a track record of success with 3rd party insurance entities
  • Five plus years of extensive finance and accounting experience / background
  • Two plus years of managing and leading a staff of at least three employees
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to follow Company safety rules and all other Company policies
