Director of Revenue Cycle

Job Summary
Lead and optimize the entire revenue cycle across the organization, including AR, billing, collections, and payer performance; develop and execute an annual revenue cycle plan aligned with financial goals; analyze KPIs and present performance insights to leadership; manage payer relationships, contract performance, and denial strategies; ensure compliance with CMS/OIG and payer requirements; drive revenue cycle technology strategy, automation, and system optimization; directly manage and develop the Business Office team; collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical, IT, Quality, and Finance teams; oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (related Master's degree strongly preferred)
- 7+ years of healthcare revenue cycle management experience (ambulatory or multispecialty preferred)
- 5+ years of people management experience
- Deep knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, RVUs, and payer reimbursement policies
- Strong experience with EMR/EPM systems (NextGen experience a plus)
- Proven ability to analyze data, lead change, and improve financial performance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
