Job Summary
Director of Revenue Accounting responsible for developing and advising on the company’s revenue recognition policy, collaborating with auditors to ensure GAAP compliance, and providing expert guidance on revenue recognition and related accounting issues. Will develop and maintain processes to monitor customer contracts for non-standard terms or offerings that could affect revenue recognition. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA, 12+ years in accounting, Big 4/public accounting background, and at least 8 years managing complex revenue arrangements or long-term percent-of-completion contracts. Role is based in the Northern VA area or Tucson, AZ with 50% remote/hybrid work and some travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
- CPA required
- 12+ years of experience in Accounting field
- experience in public accounting from a large national firm and/or Big 4
- 8+ years’ experience managing complex revenue arrangements and/or long-term percent of completion type contracts
