Job Summary
Source acquisition opportunities through active coverage of brokers, owners, and market participants, focusing on retail investments exceeding $20 million. Lead underwriting, valuation, and contract negotiation for transactions from initial sourcing through closing, collaborating with internal analysts and third parties to drive efficient execution. Track market activity, pricing trends, and comparable transactions to inform portfolio construction strategy and capital deployment planning. Requires 7–12+ years of retail real estate experience, regular regional travel, and Advance Argus proficiency. Reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer at Continental Realty Corporation, a vertically integrated firm managing a $4.5B+ portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- 7–12+ years of experience in retail real estate acquisitions, investments, or brokerage
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and closing real estate transactions, preferably shopping centers
- Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills
- Advance Argus experience
- Established relationships within the retail brokerage community, with the ability to continue building coverage
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively direct and collaborate with internal analysts and cross-functional teams
- Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial, vertically integrated investment platform
- Regular travel within assigned region(s)
