Job Summary
Develop and execute a portfolio-wide resident wellness and student success strategy aligned with Scion's mission and business objectives. Establish goals, metrics, and accountability measures for resident engagement, belonging, and retention while advising leadership on emerging trends and resource gaps. Build and maintain partnerships with university counseling centers, Student Affairs offices, campus police, and community organizations to establish trusted referral pathways and escalation protocols. Design and oversee a resident wellness curriculum covering the student lifecycle, resilience, and mental health literacy, then partner with Marketing to drive participation in awareness initiatives. Create scalable peer-connection strategies including resident ambassadors and wellness champions, ensuring clear boundaries from clinical roles. Evaluate technology-enabled tools that strengthen belonging and access to support services. Provide strategic guidance during significant wellness incidents, coordinate with university and emergency resources, and lead post-incident reviews. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and collaborate with Operations, Security, Legal, and HR to integrate wellness considerations into operating practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in student affairs, student success, wellness, behavioral health administration, public health, higher education, organizational development, or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Psychology, Psychology, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Public Health, Social Work, Organizational Development, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated success building university, healthcare, community, and internal partnerships and developing enterprise-wide programs, training, and scalable operating frameworks
- Strong understanding of college-age populations, student development, resident engagement, privacy, confidentiality, crisis escalation, and appropriate professional boundaries
