Job Summary
Manage resident health care, including medication accuracy, care level evaluations, and incident investigations. Direct the Resident Services/Nursing Department by supervising staff, conducting interviews, coaching associates, and completing performance evaluations. Oversee community operations during the executive director's absence, handle night and weekend calls, and schedule associates based on budgeted FTEs. Monitor expenditures, review applications, and ensure compliance with ALF regulations and HIPAA. Provide hands-on care as needed and participate in monthly ECC and LNS meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nursing License
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two to four years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Knowledge of word processing software
- Knowledge of payroll systems
- Knowledge of electronic medical records
