Job Summary
Director of Resident Care oversees resident wellness and the resident medication program in assisted living and memory care communities. Responsibilities include initiating resident service plans, managing healthcare for residents, on-site assessments and discharge planning coordination, pre-admission assessments, regular resident health engagement, supervision of Medication Assistants, documentation accuracy in MAR/EMAR, coordination with families, physicians, and pharmacies, assisting with new hire paperwork, on-call duties, and participation in emergency response and Manager on Duty rotations. Requires RN or LVN licensure in Texas, CPR certification, and leadership/management capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LVN/RN program
- Current, unencumbered active RN or LVN license in Texas
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of one year management experience in senior living or related health programs (preferred)
- Ability to supervise Medication Assistants and ensure accurate transcription in E MAR
- Strong communication with residents, families, physicians, and pharmacy
- Ability to work autonomously and lead a team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office
