Job Summary
Director of Residence Life provides visionary leadership and comprehensive oversight for the Office of Residence Life, overseeing a 2,000-bed residential system and professional staff, with responsibilities spanning housing administration, conference services, operations, assessment, marketing and communications, residence education, and fraternity/sorority housing; collaborates with campus partners to advance student success, retention, engagement, and compliance with university policies; ensures safe, accessible residential facilities and alignment with UNK's mission and strategic goals; requires master’s degree and substantial progressive experience in collegiate housing or Student Affairs, plus demonstrated supervision and leadership abilities; location: UNK, Nebraska; duties include strategic liaison work with departments and external partners to foster innovative residential experiences; supports student learning and development as part of a holistic student experience.
Required Qualifications
- Earned master's degree in college student personnel, higher education, counseling or related field
- Earned Master’s degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling or related field with 8 years progressive successful work experience at a professional level in collegiate housing or Student Affairs, that reflects increased levels of responsibility; demonstrated supervision, leadership, and effective communication skills
