Job Summary
Own coding, coverage, and payment strategy for assigned products from launch through lifecycle. Track and interpret CMS rules, LCDs, and commercial payer policy changes, then prepare submissions to CMS, AMA CPT panels, and other bodies. Serve as the internal expert for reimbursement questions from Sales, Marketing, and customers while building payer, medical society, and governmental relationships to advocate for favorable coverage. Partner with Finance, Clinical, Legal, and Med Affairs to close evidence gaps, spot reimbursement trends, and brief Senior Leadership on impact. Support field teams on denials and appeals guidance, and represent the company at coding committees, government hearings, and conferences to drive market access. This individual contributor role reports to the CFO and focuses on the RNS System for epilepsy treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years in reimbursement, market access, or health policy with the majority spent in the medical device space
- Fluent in CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding and CMS payment methodologies
- Proven success in coverage expansion working directly with private and public payers on coverage for new product launches, label expansions, or newly approved clinical indications
