Director of Rehabilitation

Manage and supervise the rehabilitation department to meet resident needs, organizational fiscal requirements, and federal and state regulations. Assign patient scheduling and departmental responsibilities as needed while supervising, orienting, training, evaluating, and counseling department employees to maintain high standards of performance and patient care. Assist with the interview and hiring process for rehabilitation staff, ensure compliance with organizational policies, and verify that therapists maintain accurate, timely documentation meeting regulatory and payor requirements. Coordinate department functions with other services, communicate with administration regarding goals and performance, and participate in utilization review, quality assurance, and care conferences. Manage revenue and expense controls, ensure accurate billing, and uphold infection control and environmental safety standards.
