Job Summary
Lead the rehabilitation department by assigning patient schedules, supervising staff evaluations, and overseeing documentation for MDS reporting and billing. Manage departmental revenue and expenses to meet budgetary targets while ensuring compliance with facility policies and payer requirements. Represent therapy services to the public and medical community through interdisciplinary meetings, utilization reviews, and community education planning. Provide or oversee resident screenings, evaluations, and treatments as needed. Maintain open communication with facility administration regarding goals, risks, and achievements. Required Qualifications
- Must hold a degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- For Rehab Technicians: a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech-Language Pathologist, or Rehab Tech
- Must possess a current and active license in one of the following disciplines, if serving as a therapist: Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech-Language Pathologist
- Maintain a valid state license (as applicable)
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes
- Ensure compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed
