Job Summary

Lead the rehabilitation department by assigning patient schedules, supervising staff performance, and overseeing documentation practices to ensure compliance with payer requirements. Manage departmental revenue and expenses to meet budgetary targets while participating in interdisciplinary meetings for utilization review and quality assurance. Represent therapy services to the public and medical community, maintain open communication with facility administration regarding goals and risks, and provide or oversee resident screenings, evaluations, and treatments as needed. Ensure timely completion of MDS reporting and billing documentation while fostering professional growth through collaboration and continuing education. Maintain a valid state license and stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Must hold a degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • For Rehab Technicians: a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech-Language Pathologist, or Rehab Tech
  • Must possess a current and active license in one of the following disciplines, if serving as a therapist: Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Maintain a valid state license (as applicable)
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Ensure compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed
