Job Summary
Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) leads PT/OT/SLP services within a skilled nursing facility, directing clinical operations and ensuring high-quality therapy delivery. Responsibilities include supervising rehabilitation staff, coordinating care plans, ensuring regulatory compliance with CMS/Medicare/PDPM, managing staffing, budgeting, program development, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration to maximize patient outcomes and facility performance.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology program.
- Licensure: Current Florida license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology. License must be in good standing with the applicable Florida licensing board.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of rehabilitation experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, inpatient rehabilitation, or related setting.
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Knowledge: Medicare Part A and Part B, PDPM reimbursement system, MDS process, Florida healthcare regulations, Skilled nursing facility operations.
