Job Summary
Supervise Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy staff who evaluate and treat patients under physician prescription. Act as the department liaison with administration, medical staff, nursing, and the community while maintaining a sufficient team for quality care. Provide orientation for new personnel, conduct annual performance evaluations, and coordinate rehabilitation services across disciplines. Evaluate professional and non-professional services, maintain budget and financial records, and prepare quarterly quality assurance reports. Conduct regular staff meetings for communication and problem-solving, prepare marketing activities for referrals, and provide direct patient care as needed. Promote safety through in-service education and ensure compliance with policies regarding resident rights, confidentiality, and workplace safety.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- current and unencumbered license in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- three to five years of clinical experience
- experience with Geriatric population
- at least one year of supervisory experience
