Job Summary
Supervise Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy staff who evaluate and treat patients of all ages under physician prescription. Act as a liaison between therapy disciplines, administration, medical staff, nursing, and the community while coordinating rehabilitation services with other departments. Maintain a sufficient staff for quality care, provide orientation and professional development, and conduct annual performance evaluations. Evaluate department services, maintain budget and financial records, and prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Reports. Provide direct patient care as needed, conduct regular staff meetings for communication and problem solving, and prepare marketing activities for referrals. Promote a safe environment through in-service education and ensure compliance with policies regarding resident rights, confidentiality, and workplace safety.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- Must possess current and unencumbered license in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- Demonstrates ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- Must have three to five years of clinical experience, preferably with Geriatric population, with at least one year of supervisory experience
