Job Summary
Supervise Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy staff who evaluate and treat patients of all ages under physician prescription. Act as a liaison between therapy disciplines, administration, medical staff, and nursing teams while coordinating rehabilitation services with other departments. Maintain a sufficient staff for quality care, conduct annual performance evaluations, and provide orientation and professional development opportunities. Evaluate department services, maintain budget and financial records, and prepare quarterly Quality Assurance Reports. Provide direct patient care as needed, conduct regular staff meetings for communication and problem-solving, and prepare information for yearly budgets. Promote referrals through marketing activities and ensure a safe, clean environment via in-service education. Comply with all community policies regarding resident rights, abuse prevention, confidentiality, and workplace safety.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- current and unencumbered license in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- three to five years of clinical experience
- experience with Geriatric population
- at least one year of supervisory experience
