Job Summary
Supervise Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy staff to evaluate and treat patients of all ages under physician prescription. Act as a liaison between therapy disciplines, administration, medical staff, nursing, and the community. Maintain a sufficient staff for quality care, provide orientation and professional development, and conduct annual performance evaluations. Coordinate rehabilitation services, maintain departmental budget records, and prepare quarterly quality assurance reports. Provide direct patient care as needed, conduct regular staff meetings for communication and problem solving, and prepare marketing activities for referrals. Promote a safe environment through in-service education and ensure compliance with policies regarding resident rights, confidentiality, and workplace safety.
Required Qualifications
- graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- current and unencumbered license in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- three to five years of clinical experience
- experience with Geriatric population
- at least one year of supervisory experience
