Job Summary
Supervise Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapy staff to evaluate and treat patients of all ages under physician prescription. Act as a liaison between therapy disciplines, administration, medical staff, nursing, and the community while coordinating rehabilitation services with other departments. Maintain a sufficient staff for quality care, provide orientation and development opportunities, and conduct annual performance evaluations. Evaluate professional services, prepare quarterly quality assurance reports, and manage departmental budget records. Provide direct patient care as needed, conduct regular staff meetings for communication and problem solving, and prepare information for yearly budgets. Promote a safe environment through in-service education, conduct marketing activities for referrals, and ensure compliance with community policies regarding resident rights, abuse prevention, and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- Current and unencumbered license in Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Physical Therapy
- Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- Three to five years of clinical experience
- Experience with Geriatric population
- At least one year of supervisory experience
