Director of Regional Operations & Compliance

Job Summary
Director of Regional Operations & Compliance provides strategic leadership and oversight of regional school operations to ensure schools operate efficiently, remain compliant, and maintain safe, well-managed environments for students and staff. Leads Program Managers to develop and implement operational systems across campuses, align regional operations with organizational goals, and ensure compliance with state/federal/authorizer requirements. Oversees facilities, vendor management, safety and emergency preparedness, and charter renewal processes, while driving continuous improvement through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Travel up to 70% to schools across the region and occasional travel to other Aspire regions for conferences/professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Education/related field)
- 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations, education, nonprofit, business, or project management
- Experience developing, implementing, and refining policies and procedures
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-capacity environment
- Experience in education or nonprofit sector
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work autonomously in ambiguous environments
- Travel up to 70% time to schools across the region
- Demonstrated ability to influence people
- Strong organizational, planning, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated track record in leadership, curiosity, and perseverance
- Commitment to social justice and Aspire Public Schools values
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
