Job Summary
Lead the Recreation Department in a skilled nursing facility; develop and oversee a comprehensive recreation program that promotes residents' physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual well-being; supervise staff; coordinate events and community engagement; collaborate with interdisciplinary team; ensure regulatory compliance and maintain documentation; manage budgets and vendor relationships; foster a resident-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Human Services, or related field preferred
- Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, or Rehabilitation setting required
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing recreational services in healthcare settings
