Job Summary
Senior hybrid leadership role directing ACT Power Services’ QA/QC program and serving as a senior resource within the Asset Optimization Team to support large-scale solar project delivery. Responsible for designing, building, and enforcing QA/QC standards, manuals, inspection protocols, and KPI reporting from ground break through commissioning. Provides on-site quality oversight, conducts audits and RCA, and drives non-conformance closure while maintaining client relationships and coordinating with operations, projects, and subcontractors. Owns P&L for the QA/QC function, supports planning and execution of utility-scale and commercial solar projects, and leads a high-performing QA/QC team with strong field presence. Requires 10+ years of relevant experience, deep PV system knowledge, safety/code familiarity (OSHA/NAC/NEC), strong communication skills, and ability to travel up to 50%.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance/quality control, construction management, or O&M leadership within solar/renewable energy or electrical construction industries
- Proven experience building and managing QA/QC programs from inception
- P&L ownership experience and ability to manage budgets and costs
- Strong leadership and ability to develop high-performing teams in field environments
- Extensive knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including DC/AC electrical systems, inverters, trackers, modules, and balance-of-system components
- Experience supporting large-scale project delivery in senior capacity (scoping, estimating, scheduling, closeout)
- Excellent client-facing communication and ability to manage relationships with executives
- Experience managing contractors/subcontractors with quality compliance and dispute resolution
- Ability to read electrical schematics and construction drawings
- Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, NEC; project/site safety alignment
- Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with project management/quality software
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel up to 50% including overnight travel
- OSHA 30 General Industry or Construction certification preferred; CQM/CQA a plus
- Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) construction and commissioning processes
