Job Summary
Lead and manage all quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement activities for the FAA Part 145 Repair Station, ensuring full adherence to FAA regulations, OEM standards, and internal quality management systems. Serve as the primary authority for inspection systems, audits, corrective actions, and regulatory interactions while acting as the main liaison during FAA, customer, and third-party audits. Establish and maintain inspection standards, oversee the Quality Management System, and lead the development of internal audit schedules to ensure timely resolution of findings. Review and approve corrective and preventive actions related to quality findings and audit observations. Analyze quality metrics and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities and lead, mentor, and develop department personnel including inspectors and quality engineers. Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to drive compliance and reduce risk. Requires 8–10 years of progressive aviation quality experience within an FAA Part 145 environment and strong leadership in managing quality teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive aviation quality experience within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment (MRO Experience)
- Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 145 regulations
- Strong working knowledge of FAA Airworthiness requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Repair Station Manual requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100/ISO standards
- Strong working knowledge of CAAC requirements
- Strong working knowledge of EASA requirements
- Strong working knowledge of CAA (UK) requirements
- Strong working knowledge of SMS requirements
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing quality teams in an aviation MRO environment
- Experience leading FAA and customer audits
- Strong understanding of maintenance documentation, technical publications, and regulatory compliance practices
