Job Summary
The Director of Quality and Reliability will architect and lead the Quality System, driving quality excellence across design, development, manufacturing, and supplier interactions. This role requires leading the Quality team, maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS), and establishing robust supplier quality systems. Successful candidates will need to shift the organization to process-based quality, integrating quality requirements into all business phases, and championing continuous improvement initiatives. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and have 15+ years of quality experience in manufacturing, along with leadership, ISO 9001 implementation, and proficiency in Lean methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 15 years of prior Quality experience within manufacturing or industrial operations
- 5+ years of direct leadership experience managing quality teams in complex, multi-site, or matrixed organizations
- 5+ years of experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 / AS 9100 quality management systems
- Strong technical background in complex engineered systems
- Proven experience implementing Lean manufacturing systems and statistical process control
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in related field preferred
- Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt, or Program Management Professional (PMP) preferred
