Job Summary
The Director of Purchasing is responsible for managing inventory and recipe costing processes, collaborating with chefs and management teams to improve operational efficiencies, and developing sourcing strategies for commodities. Essential duties include tracking ingredients, ensuring compliance with established systems, maintaining food specifications, generating food cost reports, and spending time on-site for training. A bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting and two years of experience in Purchasing or a related field are required, along with strong communication, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
- 2 years’ experience in Purchasing or a related field
- Integrity and ability to multi-task
- Concise written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and organized
