Job Summary
The Director of Purchasing will lead procurement strategy and purchasing operations, overseeing supplier sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, and strategic purchasing to ensure optimal inventory levels. This role involves developing purchasing strategies aligned with manufacturing demand, managing domestic and international suppliers, and leading negotiations for supplier contracts. Candidates should have experience in the fastener industry, team management, and sourcing. The position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to improve processes, and managing multi-location supply chains.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the fastener industry or related field
- 2+ years of managing a purchasing or procurement team
- Experience supporting multi-location or multi-state operations
- Experience with domestic and international sourcing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Epicor/P21 software
