Job Summary
Director of Public Affairs leads Milo’s Tea Company’s governmental relations, community engagement, corporate giving, and external stakeholder strategy across home markets and key industry channels. Responsibilities include leading state and local governmental relations, tracking legislation and regulatory activity, managing economic development relationships, coordinating national industry association engagement, leading community engagement programs, directing philanthropic investment, collaborating cross-functionally on internal and external communications, facilitating associate external engagement, and developing public affairs metrics and reporting. The role also involves managing Salesforce relationship records, ensuring program reach and budgeting alignment, and overseeing reports on engagement activity and program outcomes. This position has food safety responsibilities. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of experience in governmental or public affairs (5+ in the field) or 8+ years with an advanced degree; MBA or advanced leadership certification preferred; strong knowledge of governmental relations, policy analysis, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, Public Affairs, or a related field
- MBA or advanced leadership degree or certification from an accredited institution preferred
- 10 or more years of experience, including 5 or more years in governmental affairs, public affairs, or a relevant functional area; or 8 or more years of experience with an advanced degree
