Job Summary
Oversee and direct in-depth construction projects from final design and engineering to completion, managing multiple contractors, subcontractors, and project coordinators while adhering to financial and time budgets. Coordinate general contractors and subcontractors, negotiate construction contracts, and manage change orders to maintain schedule and cost efficiency. Lead schedule construction reviews, enforce safety protocols, and immediately respond to jobsite incidents or crises to ensure employee and contractor safety. Prepare internal and external reports on job status, manage contractor payments, and approve payment applications on schedule. Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at jobsites. Requires PMP certification, OSHA 30-Hour safety certification, and ability to traverse all job site areas in any weather.
Required Qualifications
- Proven working experience in construction management
- Advanced knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and standards
- Ability to read construction drawings in PDF and AutoCAD format
- Ability to plan and see the big picture
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent time and project management skills
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Driving and travel required
- Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at jobsites
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 4-year degree (BSCE, BSCM, BSAE, etc.) in construction management or related field OR 7 years relevant experience
- PMP Certification
- OSHA 30-Hour safety certification preferred
- LEED background a plus
