Job Summary
Director of Project Management leads Coegi's PMO and owns the project management methodology, serving as the senior-day-to-day leader within the Business Operations department. The role directly supervises and develops PM staff, oversees enterprise flagship account delivery, and ensures effective resource planning, governance, and profitability. Responsibilities include maintaining and evolving PMO standards, templates, and quality benchmarks; directing cross-functional collaboration with Client Engagement, Digital Operations, Data & Technology, Marketing & Innovation, HR, and Sales; managing onboarding, performance reviews, and hi-potential development; overseeing billing processes, retainer terms, and contract oversight; driving AI strategy for the PM function and measuring adoption; leading change management for new processes and technologies; coordinating department training, and providing monthly status updates to leadership. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate client work and internal processes into scalable PMO practices across multiple U.S. office locations in a hybrid work setup.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or advertising preferred; or equivalent professional experience
- Seven+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably in a digital media or digital advertising agency
- At least three years in a people-management role with direct responsibility for hiring, performance management, and career development
- PMP certification required, or in-progress within the first twelve months of the role
- Experience setting AI strategy for a team or function; familiarity with Claude and AI-enabled workflows
- Strong working knowledge of paid media ecosystems and project management tools (Asana, Harvest, Google Workspace, Slack)
- Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage organizational change
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Experience with time-tracking, billable hours, retainer management, contract terms, and profitability
