Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Single Adult, Adult Families, and Families with Children's intake and assessment sites, ensuring 24/7 access for vulnerable populations. Provide technical assistance and supervision to social services staff while interpreting agency policies to ensure compliance with federal and state mandates. Implement program guidelines, facilitate client placement into alternative housing, and manage staffing schedules through weekly case conferences and meetings. Liaise with contracted sites and community providers to monitor client responsibility and ensure referrals to income-based shelter and financial entitlements. Chair weekly social service meetings to review client move outs, incidents, and contract compliance. Schedule: 8am – 4pm, Sunday – Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- Permanent in the Administrative Director of Social Services Civil Service title or permanent in a comparable title eligible for 6.1.9 title change
- Reachable with the score of 100 on the Open Competitive Administrative Director of Social Services Exam (# 1121)
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
- Four years of progressively responsible experience
- One year at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, civic or community organization operating in the area of social services
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
- One year of experience at the administrative or management level
