Job Summary
Provide strategic and operational leadership for Rainbow's programs, counselling services, volunteer engagement, and housing-related programming, ensuring all services remain accessible and trauma-informed. Lead, support, and develop three direct reports, managing work planning, coaching, and performance in a unionized environment. Manage spaces for internal and external use, including programming calendars and rentals, while leading the development of systems to activate the Place of Pride campus. Set, monitor, and report on program targets, budgets, and grant deliverables, translating community insights into organizational strategy. Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Collaborations to align program perspectives with broader advocacy and fundraising goals.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in social work, counselling, community development, public administration, or a related field
- Demonstrated strategic and people leadership experience in a non-profit, community-based, or social service setting
- Experience in supervision, coaching, and team development
- A genuine and demonstrated understanding of 2SLGBTQ+ communities and the intersecting systems of oppression that shape their experiences
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, harm reduction, and culturally safer approaches to service delivery
- A generalist orientation with the ability to hold strategic oversight across multiple distinct portfolios
- The vision and initiative to identify emerging community needs and develop new or innovative ways to meet them
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills
- A genuine interest in working across organizational teams to share insights, align priorities, and break down silos
