Director of Product Support, Power Systems

Job Summary
Lead the overall strategy, leadership, and financial performance of service, parts, and product support sales and marketing operations for the Power Systems Division. Provide strategic oversight of parts operations, establish annual operating plans and budgets, and drive revenue, gross profit, and return-on-assets objectives. Manage service managers, parts managers, and the Product Support Sales Manager while building high-performance teams focused on safety, customer service, and continuous improvement. Develop and execute product support strategies across electric power generation, industrial engines, and marine engines, maintaining strong relationships with Caterpillar and key business partners. Monitor operational performance, implement corrective actions, and resolve significant customer concerns to minimize downtime and ensure profitable growth. Travel approximately 50% of the time between Altorfer locations, customer sites, and Caterpillar facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in service, parts, product support, or related operations
- Significant leadership responsibility
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- No more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years
- No major violations within the past 5 years
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
- Must be able to safely navigate shop and job-site environments
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, and climb as necessary
- Must comply with all applicable safety policies
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings, or weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a Caterpillar dealership or comparable heavy equipment, engine, or power systems organization
- Strong technical understanding of equipment service and repair operations
