Director of Product Strategy and Management

Job Summary
Director of Product Strategy and Management leads product strategy from development through execution, partnering cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Underwriting, Actuarial, Operations and other departments to identify opportunities that drive growth of dental insurance products. Responsible for defining product requirements from competitive market research, reviewing and shaping product structure, and executing the product roadmap while ensuring regulatory compliance. Oversees leadership of the product management function, develops business cases and forecasts, drives pricing and distribution strategies, monitors KPIs, and collaborates with executives to realize the vision set by leadership. Key duties include market analysis, risk assessment, roadmap execution, stakeholder alignment, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize product performance and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Product Management leadership role within the insurance industry
- Bachelor’s Degree or an appropriate combination of education and/or equivalent experience is preferred
- Underwriting and pricing knowledge is a plus
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and people with ability to get results through others
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required, including ability to express oneself effectively and professionally through written and verbal communications
- Leadership qualifications to include developing, leading, mentoring, and setting goals for each member of the team
- Ability to think and plan strategically for organizational success
