Job Summary
Drive product safety, quality, and compliance across the full assortment while owning end-to-end product development for Hardlines and Technical Wear. Set quality standards, AQLs, and testing protocols, then oversee inspection procedures and reporting for domestic and overseas issues. Lead factory audits, manage supplier scorecards, and investigate customer complaints to drive corrective actions. Validate chemical safety, sustainability certifications, and new material protocols for pilot and new-product development. Maintain test reports and product traceability to keep the company audit-ready. Manage timelines with vendors and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality hardware and technical wear on time. Based in San Francisco with a hybrid schedule, this role supports a female-founded team committed to rescuing pets through every order.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product quality, testing, compliance or product development within consumer goods
- Deep working knowledge of product safety and chemical compliance standards
- Hands-on experience with factory audits and social/ethical compliance frameworks
- Experience managing overseas supplier relationships and quality issues in real time
- Track record of leading product development from concept through tooling and launch
- Strong root-cause CAPA methodology experience
- Comfortable with travel as needed, including overseas
- Excellent cross-functional collaborator with experience partnering with design, merchandising, and CX teams
