Job Summary
Own the product vision and roadmap across payroll, PEO/EOR, benefits, and payments as a single, coherent experience. Set the taste bar for the company by defining the interaction model for agentic software where users hand work to EMMA. Use AI-native building as your default workflow to prototype in hours and test with real users in days. Lead, hire, and develop a unified product and design team where PMs have design sensibility and designers think in outcomes. Run tight discovery loops with customers from founder-led startups to enterprise leaders, partnering closely with engineering on prioritization and quality. Own delight and correctness together, including edge cases in tax, compliance, and money movement. Contribute to the company narrative by showing up in fundraising, sales, and market discussions. This player-coach role reports directly to the CEO to set strategy alongside founders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years across product management
- 2+ years leading teams
- Shipped complex B2B or fintech products at scale
- True dual fluency in product management and design
- Demonstrated taste with a portfolio or shipped work
- Experience building with AI daily
- Shipped or prototyped with modern AI tools
- Strong opinions about what makes agentic and LLM-powered products feel trustworthy and magical rather than gimmicky
- Experience in payroll, HR tech, fintech, payments, or another regulated, correctness-critical domain
- Comfort operating with ambiguity
- Owning outcomes
- Communicating crisply with founders, customers, and investors
- Track record of hiring people with taste and helping them get better
Desired Qualifications
- Founding design or founding product experience at an earlier-stage company
- Global product experience (localization, multi-country compliance, cross-border payments)
- Enterprise and SMB dual-audience experience
