Director of Product Engineering

Job Summary
Direct and lead Engineering Leads across Platform and product pods to ensure clear, consistent delivery with a high standard for quality. Own the engineering operating model, set sprint cadence and backlog execution standards, govern code review, testing, and release processes, and maintain architectural alignment. Serve as the escalation point for technical, delivery, and team challenges, while coaching and developing Engineering Leads to scale the organization. Collaborate with product management, architecture, and platform leadership to align priorities with delivery capacity, balance speed and quality, and manage external resources. Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, incident response, monitoring, and developer experience to support scalable product portfolios and long-term reliability.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering
- 5+ years of experience in engineering leadership or management
- Experience leading engineering teams delivering multiple concurrent products
- Strong understanding of modern software development practices and agile methodologies
- Experience defining and operating engineering processes at scale
- Experience managing engineering capacity, delivery timelines, and prioritization
- Strong leadership with people-management experience
- Willingness to travel up to 30% across the United States
- Experience collaborating with product management and architecture functions
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, modern application architectures, and AI-powered systems is a plus
