Job Summary
Lead and shape a remote-first engineering organization as Director of Product Development, steering AI-assisted software delivery, agentic workflows, and scalable architectures while managing managers and aligning with Product and Operations. Drive improvements in SDLC, AI agent integration for code generation and automated testing, and ensure reliable, frequent releases. Own technical direction across products, foster clear documentation and data-driven decisions, and guide teams through growth, post-acquisition transitions, and modernization of legacy systems into AI-enabled platforms. Collaborate closely with product and business partners to maintain focus on delivery, quality, and strategic architectural decisions while maintaining a high-performing, scalable remote team.
Required Qualifications
- Senior engineering leader with experience managing other managers and scaling teams in fully remote environments
- Strong software development background with experience in agentic orchestration and LLM integration
- Proven track record of using AI to increase developer productivity and speed time-to-market
- Experience leading remote-first teams through growth, change, and post-acquisition transitions
- Experience guiding teams through technical debt cleanups and modernizing legacy systems into AI-enabled platforms
- Clear documentation habits, emphasis on continuous improvement, and data-informed decision making
- Ability to balance long-term technical direction with hands-on leadership when needed
- Clear communicator capable of aligning with product and business partners while focusing on delivery and quality
- Commitment to building healthy, high-performing engineering teams that scale over time
