Job Summary
Develop and execute the regional procurement strategy aligned with business objectives to optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring supply continuity. Lead contract negotiations with key suppliers, manage supplier performance reviews, and implement contingency plans to mitigate geopolitical and operational risks. Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the Americas region. Partner closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Global Procurement to drive sourcing decisions, strengthen supplier diversity, and support long-term value creation. Present procurement strategies and performance metrics to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience
- Ten or more years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience leading regional procurement organizations and developing high-performing teams
- Strong background in supplier negotiations, contract management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management
- Experience managing procurement within complex manufacturing or global supply chain environments
- Strong financial acumen with experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related business or technical discipline
- Experience within manufacturing, construction products, industrial products, plastics, polymers, or related industries
- Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise ERP systems
- Familiarity with procurement analytics, business intelligence tools, and strategic sourcing methodologies
- Experience working within a global matrix organization
- Strategic leadership and business acumen
- A passion for developing people and building high-performing teams
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
