Job Summary
Lead the procurement function by developing strategies that align with project requirements and managing the full lifecycle from sourcing to contract execution. Oversee purchasing of project equipment, materials, and services while collaborating with engineering and finance teams to forecast needs. Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships through negotiation and performance evaluations, driving cost savings via supplier consolidation and strategic sourcing. Mitigate supply chain risks by implementing robust risk management strategies and maintaining accurate records for continuous improvement. Ensure all activities comply with industry regulations and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of procurement experience
- 10+ years of procurement experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or industrial sectors
- Proven expertise in procurement strategy
- Proven expertise in supplier management
- Proven expertise in contract negotiations
- Proven expertise in cost optimization
- Strong experience in sourcing project equipment
- Strong experience in sourcing heavy machinery
- Strong experience in sourcing engineering materials
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and operations teams
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- Bachelors degree in Business
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Professional procurement certifications (CIPS, MCIPS, CPSM)
- Experience with inventory control
- Experience with risk management
- Experience with logistics coordination
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in procurement software

- Must be based in North America
