Director of Privacy and ROI

Lead VIA Health Partners' HIPAA privacy program as Privacy Officer, overseeing policy development, risk assessments, audits, and training in coordination with leadership and the HIPAA Security Officer. Responsible for patient rights, safeguards, and disclosures including HIPAA-based releases of information, accounting of disclosure, and related legal documentation (e.g., HCPOA, guardianships, letters of administration). Manages intake and response to subpoenas, government inquiries, and other third-party requests; maintains audit-ready documentation of disclosures and release actions. Partners with Compliance, HIM, CIO, Security, Clinical Software, IT and Operations to support policy administration, risk reduction, and technology modernization, including AI-enabled workflows with PHI. Serves as SME for lawful release practices, SOP development, and documentation retention; supports audit responses and regulatory reviews; maintains SOP forms and templates related to PHI disclosures. Ensures ongoing professional development and licensure/certification as applicable; maintains VIA’s core values and customer service standards. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in privacy/compliance or related healthcare regulatory operations; preferred certifications in healthcare privacy/HIPAA/HIM compliance and experience with privacy operations of digital-health, telehealth, analytics, or AI tools.
