Job Summary
Lead the development and evolution of BNPL and installment pricing models, determining optimal economic structures that balance risk exposure, revenue goals, and IRR thresholds. Design pricing segments at the merchant level, setting line sizes, terms, and APRs while incorporating competitor analysis to drive conversion. Champion the "No Fine Print" mandate by building methodologies that ensure complete clarity in customer disclosures. Leverage deep data analysis to set offer parameters and A/B test pricing variations that maximize conversion rates for key purchasing moments while aggressively maintaining portfolio profitability targets. Serve as the primary pricing stakeholder for new product launches, collaborating with Finance, Sales, Data Science, and Product teams to align strategy with underwriting philosophy. Continuously monitor KPIs to optimize offerings across merchants and ensure actual revenue meets expectations at every level.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive experience in pricing, financial modeling, or risk management within consumer finance (FinTech, BNPL, Credit Cards, or Installment Lending)
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Statistics, or a highly quantitative field
- Proven ability to translate complex financial concepts and risk profiles into simple, competitive, and transparent product offers
- Direct experience developing and implementing underwriting philosophies and scorecards that govern interest and fee generation while maximizing business goals
- High proficiency in statistical analysis and advanced financial modeling tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel)
- Ability to automate pricing models for quick turnaround on new requests
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to turn data into actionable insights and influence senior leadership
