Job Summary
Director of PreConstruction leads a remote team of estimators, drafters, and preconstruction coordinators, overseeing day-to-day estimating and preconstruction activities across multiple projects. Focus on building scalable processes, aligning estimating with Sales and Operations, maintaining bid tracking and documentation, and driving accountability and workflow management in a distributed environment. Oversees development of estimating standards, pricing structures, and implementation of estimating software to ensure accurate, timely bid preparation, project handoffs, and profitability across markets.
Required Qualifications
- Five years of experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, or related leadership role
- Previous experience managing teams within a remote or distributed work environment
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience overseeing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital collaboration/project management tools
