Job Summary
Direct and oversee plant operations, maintenance, transportation, and security functions in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Plan, organize, develop, and implement the maintenance department while serving as a hands-on manager for internal repair and replacement of systems and equipment. Manage capital projects, construction initiatives, and campus transportation programs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety, state, federal, and OSHA regulations. Prepare department budgets, track project finances, and review payment applications, changing orders, and invoices. Act as a liaison to contractors, vendors, and the corporate office, representing the community at meetings with local officials and governing agencies. Identify capital needs and recommend them to the Executive Director. Develop and maintain universal precautions and waste disposal policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- Universal HVAC certification
- 3+ years supervisory experience in a maintenance/plant operations/construction related field
- Superb communication skills and professionalism
- Ability to read and analyze blueprints, diagrams, and complex instruction/maintenance manuals
- Limited travel off-site
