Job Summary
Provide executive leadership for all inpatient pharmacy operations, overseeing clinical, operational, financial, and administrative functions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards while leading medication safety initiatives and quality assurance programs. Develop and evaluate pharmacy staff, manage departmental budgets, and collaborate with physicians and nursing leadership to optimize medication management and workflow efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with all educational requirements necessary for state licensure
- Current pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania
- Minimum three years of recent hospital pharmacy experience within an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and medication safety
- BLS certification if required by state regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Hospital pharmacy residency (PGY1 and/or PGY2)
- Advanced degree in healthcare or business
- Board Certification
- Previous pharmacy management or director-level leadership experience
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and driving operational improvement initiatives
