Job Summary
What Health System Pharmacy Director contributes to Cardinal Health Health System Pharmacy Director is responsible for providing customized pharmacy program solutions that reduce costs and improve patient care quality for hospitals, health systems and other integrated healthcare providers may also consult with and advise healthcare team on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes. Lead the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) committee; liaison between Hospital Pharmacy Department and other Departments; develop and implement policies and procedures; ensure quality and accreditation standards; supervise staff and inventory; participate in recruitment and training; ensure infection control practices; collaborate with quality, safety, and education initiatives; availability to work in Ponce.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD is preferred
- Must have active Puerto Rico Pharmacist License and Registration
- A minimum of three or more (3+) years of administrative pharmacy experience or similar experience in a hospital setting
- Availability to work extended hours
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point) intermediate level skills are required
- Fully bilingual English and Spanish oral and written is required
