Job Summary
Director of People and Culture responsible for overseeing HR, training, and industrial relations; lead development and delivery of People and Culture strategy; manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and policy compliance; partner with senior management to foster an inclusive, high-performing workplace in a hospitality/hotel setting; requires strong leadership, strategic partnership, and knowledge of industrial instruments and Labour laws; benefits include generous salary package, on-site parking, staff meals, and employee discounts across COMO properties.
Required Qualifications
- Similar experience in a strategic People and Culture role within the Hospitality Industry
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a similar discipline
- Ability to interpret industrial instruments, legislation and HR policies and procedures
- Demonstrated experience successfully managing and resolving complex industrial relations/employment relations matters.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with management at a senior level
- Working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and its application
- Proven experience with managing employee relations matters
- Excellent interpersonal skills including effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- High level of attention to detail and organisational skills to meet deadlines
