Job Summary

Director of Quality responsibility includes orchestrating quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives across a billion-dollar health system, collaborating with the CMO/CQO to set priorities and execute strategies; leading performance improvement activities, providing project management and data-analytic support, and ensuring quality of care across the organization. The role designs and implements Quality and Patient Safety Plans, participates in case reviews for sentinel events and near misses, supports measurement and evaluation, and coordinates Joint Commission accreditation surveys. The position requires building and developing a skilled quality department, engaging with physician leaders, and presenting outcomes to the CEO, executive team, and board to achieve measurable improvements in safety culture and patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Nursing, or relevant clinical discipline
  • Master's degree preferred in Health Care Administration, Nursing, or a related field
  • Current license in a relevant clinical discipline
  • Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ)
  • Formal training in project management or performance improvement (Black Belt or Six Sigma)
  • 10+ years of quality-related experience in a hospital or health system
  • 5+ years of leadership of a department or quality team
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and Joint Commission accreditation
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
