Job Summary
Lead a geographically dispersed team to drive student recruitment, enrollment, and career placement across Northern California. Establish partnerships with schools, employers, tribal organizations, and community groups to achieve retention and placement goals. Develop staff through coaching and performance management while using data to improve operational reporting and decision-making. Serve as the primary operational leader for workforce transition services, ensuring compliance with federal requirements and delivering exceptional experiences to applicants and partners. This role directly influences enrollment and employment outcomes within Equus Workforce Solutions' mission to change lives through education and training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Human Services, Communications, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, Workforce Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience with responsibility for supervising staff, managing performance, and achieving organizational goals
- Demonstrated success leading teams through performance metrics, accountability systems, and measurable outcomes
- Experience developing partnerships with community organizations, employers, educational institutions, government agencies, or other external stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvement strategies
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Northern California
- Valid driver's license

- Experience in workforce development, recruiting, staffing, talent acquisition, education, training, human services, youth services, military transition services, vocational rehabilitation, community development, or employer engagement
- Multi-site leadership experience
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams

- Experience managing enrollment, recruitment, sales, outreach, placement, or business development teams
