Director of Out of School Program

The Director of the Out-of-School (OOS) Program provides leadership, planning, and daily oversight for a high-quality after-school and full-day summer program for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Responsibilities include designing age-appropriate academic support, enrichment, recreation, and social-emotional learning activities; supervising staff and volunteers; coordinating enrollment, transportation (as applicable), and family communication; developing calendars, field trips, and special events; managing program operations, including budget tracking, purchasing, and reporting; ensuring CACFP meal service and adherence to licensing, health and safety standards; and collaborating with families, schools, and community partners to support student success. The role requires regular evening and weekend availability. Essential duties also cover staff recruitment, training, scheduling, supervision, and performance evaluation; ensuring program quality through data collection and continuous improvement; maintaining compliance with CACFP, licensing, and safety regulations; and preparing updates and presentations on program performance. The Malone Center seeks a candidate committed to youth empowerment, equity, and culturally responsive programming, capable of building strong relationships with students, families, staff, schools, and community partners, and able to lead with a creative, proactive approach to quality improvement.
