Job Summary
Senior Director of Organic Materials Schemes responsible for strategic direction and governance of certification schemes (Compost Certification Scheme, CMCS, Biofertiliser Certification Scheme) and the Research Hub. Lead a team across certification management, policy and stakeholder relations, ensuring schemes are technically robust, credible and aligned with standards and regulatory developments. Collaborate with the Managing Director to contribute to Board-level reporting and organisational strategy; influence policy and engage with government, regulators and industry bodies. Opportunity to shape the future of certification and assurance in composting and biogas sectors and contribute to the UK's circular economy; work at senior leadership level to help set organisational strategy and play a visible role across industry, government and consumer-facing organisations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading certification schemes
- Experience with policy and stakeholder engagement
- Deep technical knowledge of organic materials including composting and anaerobic digestion
- Strategic governance and delivery experience
- Senior leadership experience
- Board-level reporting experience
- Ability to engage with government, regulators, and industry bodies
