Director of Organ Services

Director of Organ Services will lead Lifebanc’s Transplant Services, Referral Services, and Surgical Recovery Services. Responsible for clinical oversight in implementing programs and policies that promote organ, eye, and tissue donation, and for maintaining a positive donation culture while collaborating across hospital systems and Lifebanc departments. Key duties include directing team operations, coaching and developing staff, managing employment cycles, providing project management across departments, monitoring and reporting department data, and advancing policies and procedures to align with industry standards and state/federal law. The role involves on-call duties, travel to hospitals within the designated system, and support for missed opportunities, authorization, quality assurance, and performance improvement efforts. The position requires strategic direction for organ-related service lines, collaboration with transplant centers and Organ Medical Directors, and ensuring accurate documentation via EMR systems. Budget creation, expense oversight, and attainment of performance targets are part of the scope, along with building and maintaining relationships with hospital administrators, third-party providers, and other stakeholders to maximize donation opportunities. The role demands the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, willingness to work weekends/holidays, and travel within the system.
